Frequently Asked Questions

Please click below if you see a question that you are thinking of. If it is not answered here please contact us and we'll be happy to assist with your query.

Do I have to get my car repaired by my insurance company's "recommended" repairer?

No. Libra Coachworks Ltd is an insurance and manufacturer approved repairer and we regularly deal with popular UK insurances companies.

It is true that many insurance companies will try to direct your claim to one of their own accident repair centres, regardless of their expertise or safety record.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. This is a very important element to all our work. Here at Libra Coachworks Ltd we value your custom and in return will provide you with a first-rate repair backed up with a 3 year workmanship guarantee.

How can I be updated with the progress of my vehicle?

Here at Libra Coachworks Ltd we offer several ways to keep track of your repairs, these are online, via text message or by calling our friendly team during normal office hours.

What payments will I be responsible for before my vehicle is returned?

Most insurance policies have an associated excess amount, you will also be responsible for the VAT element of the repairs if you are VAT registered, which includes company policies.

Unfortunately you will also be liable if you damage the courtesy vehicle (if applicable?) and will have to cover any costs under the Road Traffic Acts (e.g. fines etc) and if you non-return the courtesy vehicle within 24 hours or being informed of the vehicle's repair completion.

Will all the damage on my vehicle be repaired?

When dealing with insurance claims we are only able to undertake the work which has been approved by your insurance company as they are paying for the repairs. If you are unhappy with the engineers decision it is important you contact your insurance company immediately.

Do you deal with non-fault accidents?

Yes. If you believe you are not at fault please get in touch with our friendly service advisors, who will be able to direct your claim accordingly.

Can I use the courtesy car for holidays or travel futher afield?

No. Unless we have agreed with you at the outset of your claim that the duration of repairs would be for a period beyond your expected return date. None of our courtesy vehicles can leave the UK.

What can cause delays to the estimated completion date?

Despite our best sourcing efforts sometimes manufacturer parts may not be instantly available or may be subject to a back order.

The Insurance engineer may need to inspect your vehicle.

Additional parts may be identified as being required during the course of repairs.
